林心才知道他父母是大马的华侨，他高中时全家移民去了澳洲。

“刚去的时候很辛苦。

下了课我就在父亲和母亲开的小咖啡店里帮忙。

后来上大学的学费都是我自己挣的，一边在学校读书，一边帮人家写程序，晚上常常熬夜。

“你真不简单！”林心说。

“我小时候家里也挺穷的,你知道，那时候的中国……不过我上大学那年，赶上学费还很便宜。

我的下一年就一下涨了十倍!”“你父亲母亲替你交的学费？”lfred问。

林心点点头说：“是。

我们的邻居都是我父亲母亲一个单位的-----噢，单位-----”“我懂。

我听中国同事说过。

”lfred很快地说。

“嗯，我们的邻居都是我父亲母亲一个单位的。

都是知识分子家庭，只要孩子能考上，家里都供。

在中国我一直都觉得那是天经地义的。

”“你很lucky！”lfred看着自己的杯子说。

“所以像你这样靠自己的很让人佩服！”林心由衷地说。

“很佩服谁？”一直在和june说话的邵强突然插进来问。

“佩服他！”林心指了指身边的lfred。

“人家的大学学费都是自己赚的！”“了不起，了不起！”邵强赞着，很敷衍了事地。

“我会去regonltostmstersconference，你怎幺打算？”lfred的声音恢复了响朗，他问邵强。

“我那个星期要去香港出差，去不了。

”一个星期前问邵强的时候，他还说在考虑。

听说他不去，林心好失望。
